Matter of time
waiting for Jacinta

Watching the clock,
Seeing the hands as they spin all around,
Up and down they go
One fast one slow.

I dream as they move
The skinny one is fast and the fat one is slow
And since there are two,
One's me, one's you

It's a matter of time.

Once in a while,
The fast one finds that it's there, being held
By one who knows,
And then let go.

It's a matter of time,
'Til this little hand of yours
Is in this big hand of mine.

At first it'll seem
That you're barely moving while we hardly rest
Making sure each day that you're ok.

And all through our lives,
We'll be dancing around, nearby, far way,
Yet not far apart,
If it's 'round one heart

It's a matter of time,
'Til this little hand of yours
Is in this big hand of mine.

And then, at the end,
Somehow we'll find that life circles around
It's been rearranged,
Our hands have changed

It's a matter of time,
'Til this big hand of yours
Holds this little hand of mine.
