Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none;
and whoever has food must do likewise. - Jesus (Luke 3:11)
Get in a circle
© 1996 Matt Henry
Jesus, gathering folks in a room to teach them…
Get in a circle,
Let me see if everyone's here,
Sit beside someone you don't know
Put away your distractions, they don't matter now,
Don't get too relaxed or you'll fall asleep.
And we all stood around, scratching our heads,
Trying to figure out all the things that he said, and he said
Get in a circle,
So everyone can see,
You won't want to miss the things I'm doing.
If some of you talk, while I'm trying to speak,
You'll distract the others who want to listen.
And we all stood around, scratching our heads,
Trying to figure out all the things that he said, and he said
Get in a circle,
I'm ecstatic to have you here.
Can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to this,
There's some food on the table, why don't you pass it around?
There's enough for you all, no need to be greedy.
And we all stood around, scratching our heads,
Trying to figure out all the things that he said, and he said
Get in a circle,
Introduce yourselves,
Find out some new things about your neighbors,
If you could hold hands now, we'll lest the lesson begin,
Well, what'd'y'know? The lesson is over.
