Well, having not added anything at all to this in almost a month...
We're all now in Australia. Shana and Jess arrived a week after me, and it gave me a chance to get a car and some other things are taken care of.
We're in Sydney right now, heading up north in a few days.
Apparently Jacinta was an angelic plane passenger. Hard to believe, but OK.
