So many fractures, so many fears.
So many hopes, yes, and so many tears have
Been falling away from our hearts and our eyes,
May we never lose sight of the prize. Refrain
Peace is that which is so very good,
It simply cannot be better than it is.
God's justice flows from the heart of all those
Who make a moment and place where peace lives.
Blessed are the peacemakers, blessed are we all
By the children of God, whose hearts hear the call
To live from their heart's peace, at every chance,
Who can tell the dancer from the dance? Refrain
We all have laughed, and we all have screamed,
And so dwells in our hearts the peace and the dream
And it is in our dreams that duties begin,
No bird soars too high with its own wings. Refrain
Blessed are the peacemakers, blessed is the peace
Divine gift to all which from the depths will not cease
To cry out from our hearts, "peace is our name,
It is what we do it is why we came." Refrain…then…
May God's justice flow in our hearts as we go
To the moment and place where peace lives.
